Bank of China is one of the largest national bank of China, but the service is one of the worst I’ve experienced.
Last week, I received a check from Bluehost.com, so I have to go to Bank of China to get money from the check. first time, the bank’s person told me check only be collected from Monday to Friday, so today (Monday) I applied half a day’s holiday from my boss, and run to the bank to deal with the check. I have asked the receptionist, he said I just need a bank card and ID card, there is no auto queue machine, I have to wait in a very very long queue, and 1 hour passed, the clerk of the bank told me I should do this in the bank (another branch of bank of China) where I created the account, which mean I wasted an hour just to get this information, and when I requested for a new card in that branch bank, the clerk said I should have two copies of my ID card, and I should copy the ID by myself, but in other bank ,such as China Merchant Bank(one of the best Bank in China), the will do this for client. In another aspect, if I did this, I should wait for another 1 hour, and after that, they would tell me they were off work .

I could not agree with you more. Just today I cancelled my account with them and even that was a pain to do. I can not belive how bad the customer service is in that bank. They are going to have a lot of problem during the olympics. The thing that upsets me the most is that all you need to cut these riduculous waiting time in the banks is to have one or two atm machines that let you deposit money and pay bill.
